UTF-8

Errors like “utf-8 codec can’t decode byte 0xc7 in position 10: invalid continuation byte” are often related to binary data and/or a corrupt pdf. Open the pdf in Adobe Acrobat and save it again, possibly compressed, and use version 10 or above.
